    VICTORY !!! Finally.



    Well.. for anyone who likes to know these tings.

    the pulse generator/timing advance unit on an 82 200 and an 84 Big red ES are NOT the same.

    one was marked 667A the other had no number that i could find but considering that it is warm outside today ( +2 C or so i think.. it's actually raining ! .. gonna get crusty when it cools down.. can't wait ) both fired right up and even without having driven them yet i can tell the throttle feels much better, the rev's come up without sputter like before.

    I've been procrastinating about putting them back for the last 5 or so months on the account of not wanting to screw tings up further.

    Took me a whole 20 minutes to do the swap !!!!
    Currently :

    82 ATC - 200, plain jane, almost mint. ( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    84 ATC - 200 ES, Jimmy-Rigged, don't ask.( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    85 ATC - 250 SX, Pride and Joy, Bottom-Less Money Pit.
    84 125 M - The Mini-SX not running yet. but won't be long.

    hey is it possible that the timing was off just a bit on both of them, and when you switched them back you got the timing right on them both soo they ran better!!

    That's the hypothesis ! <-- i heard that in science class once !

    Until i get to test ride them !!! And if it quits raining i'm gonna !

    Aight !

    Just came back from a quick spin .. it's raining and frickin cold out but it was eating me alive so i just had to take them out ( Shoulda seen the look on my neighbors face seing me drive by on the street in the rain )

    All i have to do now is reset my air/fuel screw and idle speed on both machines and they are set to go...

    Hickups cured.
