I drive oil truck. Today crusing through the country I went through this little alley in the quaint little village of Vera Cruz. Looked to my L at a pile of junk and there on a trailer sits a Kawaski Prarie 250. Looks all original and of course the idiot leaves it outside uncovered. I doubt if it runs but it doesn't seem to be busted up at all.
I have never even heard of these till today! It is quite an ugly beast though but in a heart beat I'd take it just for the rarity of it. Notice I said "take it" as I don't think I'd shell out any $$ at all for it.
What's cool (sort of) is the front end has OEM shocks instead of forks and looks to me like the gas tank is under the seat? I think it was a dark green or black in color.
I could only check it out for a minute or so as I was in someones back yard so technically I was tresspassing.
Anyone know the full details of this rare bird? I can't find any info on them at all on the net.
i have an 84 parairie. it is red though. i dont really know much about them. or who on 3ww has them. i do know that when we were playing with it one night we saw that the rear end has a locking hub. you can go pegleg or posi. i never really did much with the bike. it sits outside under a tarp here as well mine has a key ignition too. what else?????? o ya mine has a speedo as well. if i dont sell it i hope to do something with it some day if i were you i would try and get it. best of luck mike
