My daughter did the gas cap one, took us awhile to figure out what that was. The 350 threw a chain, silicone is still holding after 3 years. The 70, that thing limped home everytime we took it out. My son is quite effective at towing and steering. Maybe I should have just left that one alone. The mini quad threw a belt, wow that was loud. Heard it over a revving R. Scared me to death because my other daughter was on it. My R loves to throw her silencer. But that is a easy fix. I carry a spare bolt and the wrench for it. I go through more of those then sparkplugs...

Yeah but, I have this sick hate for the stuff. Been in some nasty battles with it, and I have lost every time....

What I need to do is nut it and put a lock washer on. It is one of those things, that will get fixed when I remember.

Use the blue not the red..

I've never had problems reving a bolt put in with blue loc tite..

    RED however.. forget about it.

Have you ever tried punching the threads behind the bold ? it mucks up the threads just enoug that it usually does not rattle out.. but it's not enough that you can still back it out if ned be !

i was rideing my blaster with a couple friends down the road (400ex, rm125, yfz 450) so i was having a little trouble keeping up..im running this little blaster as hard as i can wide open down the road for a good 10 minutes straight and all the sudden i hear this big POOM then i hear my motor windeing down and im thinking...great...there goes my top end. but then i look down at the motor and see my spark plug bouncing around still attatched to the boot...so needless to say...my head was stripped out...so i threw some lock tight (red hehe) on the plug and put her back in the motor later that day that was a long walk back too...since all there machines were so much faster they just left me and didnt see i was gone...about 20 minutes later i see a yfz flying at me and he just laughs.....so a week later i sold the motor for my 200x. fair trade i believe.

was rideing the 200x through some trails and the trail went into a dirt road for about a mile...so were going down the road and we come up to a giant spot of water that was frozen over so theres this big patch of ice that covers the entire road for probobly 60 feet...and we are already going pretty fast and i didnt see anyone back down to the ice so we all just barreled twords it...we are going single file theres a yfz in front of me and a 400ex behind me...the yfz hits it and is going alright and im maybe 5 feet behind him when suddenly there is a giant splash of water and i c that the yfz has broken through and there are 2 ruts from his tires going throught the ice...and my tires are sucked into them...but my front tire is also sucked into one.. so im completely sideways, going as fast as this little x will go. and i cant see anything because water is probobly 10 feet in the air being roosted everywhere from the yfz...and im battleing this x. it goes up into 2 wheels and i muscle her back down and get her to stop... i look behind me and c that the 400 is right the edge of the ice and never even tried...and the yfz is at the other side sitting on the nice dirt road. and im stuck in the middle of this giant frozen puddle. and its about a foot and a half deep. and to make things better my chain fell off and was tangled up on the front sprocket...and what makes it even better is im soaked with water from head to toe and its probobly 20 degrees outside.. and were a good 10 miles from the cabin... so i make the yfz pull me back ** i freeze to death...that was a rough trail ride...

I remember towing Jenn's 350X back to camp that day.

Only time I can remember limping home myself was at St Anthony. I had a paddle go flat 5 miles or so from camp on the way back from the big dunes. I rode the rest of the way back sitting over on the fender over the tire that held air. It was our last day there so I just put my knobbies back on.

I broke a clutch cable on my XL500R about 2 weeks ago and I had to drive about 20 miles with no clutch and I had to go through a town to make it. I timed all the stop lights and got through them without having to stop. Well the last light got me. I pulled into the bank and did circles in the parking lot until the light turned green! I was starting to get dizzy! I made it home no problem, left it in 4th the whole way.

I was riding my friends 86 250 fourtrax, he was riding his dirtbike, and his cousin had his aunts restored 200m. It was a hot ass day in up state ny york, 90+. we were racing down these old lane ways for the local tractors. We were coming up to this mud hole i never saw, first the dirt bike hit it, then me, then the kid with the 200m. As soon the 200m hit it died and we couldn't get it running. Well the 250 fourtrax had a homemade push bar and we started pushing it home. We were a 3 miles from civilization, Then both bearings went out in the front at the same time on the fourtrax. It took us an hour to get home. Had one hella of sun burn.

I never rode but but totaled it!!

Heres a good one. I never rode but but totaled it.

Back in 1999 a buddy and I where driving to a spot to ride. He was going to blow a stop sign on a back road, and didnt see a truck coming from the right. To make a long story short, my buddy slammed on the brakes going 55 mph, on the trailer we where pulling was a 97 banshee and my brand new 99 400ex. The straps broke holding them, the banshee shot over us into ditch, my ex when into the back window of his Ford Explore then got jammed between the truck and trailer and dragged along. The banshee had 1500.00 in damage, my ex was totaled. I did have insurance, thank god. The bad part is, I had waited 6 months for this ex from the dealer. It was the first year they made(square tube frame). Had to wait another 6 months to get another. Needless to say I had some choice words with my buddy and never let him drive with my quad on back again. Maybe it was a sign, I should have never bought a toy with 4 wheels.
