    Need help identifying a engine. I think it's off a tri-z.

    Hi all,
    I'm new to this forum and I have a question for ya all.
    I got my hands on this engine and the guy thought it was from yamaha ti-z.
    I'd like to figure out what it is.
    It's definately a liquid cooled 2-stroke, single carb.
    The cylinder has a 38W 246cm3 emboosed in it.
    I can only read some of the serial # 003797.
    It is also embossed with Y1 in other locations.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    I do plan on parting it out or selling it whole,
    I can send pictures if anybody is interested.
    Can you also give me an idea on what it or some of the parts are worth? (If anything)

    If the ID Mark is "38W00", which it looks like it is, you have a YTZ250N engine. That's what my book says anyways.
