on a 110 after you change the cam chain, do you have to do anything to the adjuster?

do you have to back the adjuster out or something? (the one on the bottom of the engine)
    or just leave it alone?
can you take the head or cylinder off without taking the engine off?

after you have the new chain in, start it up let it warm up then back the nut off and turn the inner slotted screw a quater turn out then tighten the big nut back up, if you can still hear the chain clattering, then take the big nut out on the bottem of the motor, the nut is right by the oil drain nut, after that nut is out you turn the screw in there clockwise untill the clattering stops.
