did you bore and hone the cylinder for the size piston you bought? .. I have a feeling you didnt.
I am pretty sure your not getting the full compressuion of that piston because you say you are running 87 octane with no dentenation .. and I have a 10.25:1 and running 91-93 octane and Think I can still hear dentenation.

did you measure the bore with a mike ?.. you realized that the clearence between the piston and cylinder was suppose to be .002 or .003 of an inch .. which is precision .. atleast I feel it is ...Originally Posted by vartiak15
my cylinder was like .004" out of round and burned oil like a mofo.

I have like 170 psi with a wiseco 10.25:1. At least that is what is was a while ago. I have a compression guage that is on a hose and threads into the spark plug hole. The guages that you have to press into the hole kinda suck. You need some one else to hold it while you kick it.
