What year 200x's had aluminum rims and will they fit a 350x?

i seen a 200x in the weeds about a 1/4 mile from my house. it has aluminum rims but its in pretty crappie shape. will the front rim fit a 86 350 or what about the back rims what pattern are they.
what year did they start puttin on aluminums?

Think all 200X's had aluminum rims. The rear's have the same bolt pattern and so do the fronts I think. The 350X is a "heavier duty" rim though. You can tell them apart when they are side by side. 350X rims have more gusseting around the bolt holes.

I'm not sure, but I think all year rims were aluminuim, the 250r gold rims are also aluminium. 86/87 200x front rims fit a 85/86 250r and 350x, 86/87 tecate 3, maybe more.

86' or 87' have white plastics

83-85 200x wheels do NOT fit directly on a 350X. 86-87 200x wheels do (they are the exact same wheels as the 350X). The 83-85 200x front wheel has a different bolt pattern than the 350X, and the brake rotor offset is different on the hub, so you cannot swap it that way either. The 83-85 200x had 8" wheels on the back. the bolt pattern is the same, but the hubs on a 350X are bigger, because the 350X came stock with 9" wheels. When I tried to put a set of 8" 200x wheels on my 350X, the ends of the hub hit on the weld on the inside of the wheel, and things did not seat correctly. It appeared to me that you could grind 1/8 of a inch or so off of the end of the 350X hub, and then the wheels would fit. I did not want to butcher my hubs, so I did not try it. If the 200x in the weeds has stock white plastic, then it is a 86-87, and the wheels will fit on the 350X

200x's NEVER came factory with steel wheels. They are anodized alum. If they are raw
polished alum. then someone switched them as many did.

well I can tell you this they are alot hevier than the aluminum ones I have on there now. The ones I took off had the original Ohutsu tires on them. The more I think about it maybe someone changed them out years ago but they are definitly steel. Sorry if I misinformed anyone,

Now not all gold 250R rims are aluminum. 81-82R rims are steel 2 piece rims!

Can't really say with out some real good details or a pic or to. I would think that the 86 or 87 sell for more than the ealier models though

The only thing I can add is that all this information is 100% correct if the machine is stock.

it has white plastic, it has been sittin in the weeds for probably 8 years at least.
it is complete but not running. when it did run it leaked oil.
i wish i could post a pic but i cant.

basically all i am getting it for is the rims, but i might think of getting it running.
if i had to put a term on it i would say poor shape to very low fair rating.
i just dont know what to offer him. $50? does that sound fair?
