    Question about new possible purchase

I have been offered $4000 for my 400ex and am contemplating purchasing another couple of 4 wheelers. I am thinking 250ex for my wife (used) and 88-89 TRX 250r with a built motor. THe other route is to just let the wife ride the 01 Bayou and get myself a new TRX 450r. Then the last option is a Kawasaki 750 Brute Force!

What would others do? I guess I could just keep the 400ex! So many choices, very confusing. I have enough 3 wheelers and need 4 wheelers to ride the state parks and other areas where 3wheelers aren't allowed. I will be wanting to add a 86 or 87 T-3 soon.

If someone is willing to pay you $4000 for a 400ex I say take it!!! If you want to go the wrenchin'/custom route then get the 250r, if you want an out of the box machine get the 450r.

Yeah, 400ex's are selling around here for between $3800-$4300 for an 02 like mine. It has been well maintained and has minimal hop up parts. As we know the less hop up parts usally brings more money due to people generally accepting that it hasn't been dogged out.
I am leaning to the 450r, and get my wife a 250ex. I think I might also sell both Kawasaki Bayous also. The 2001 should sell for between $1500-$1900 based on what I see around here and on ebay. The other one is not in the best shape and should bring about $500-$700 in parts on ebay. That will leave me with a almost mint 250r, a go-go 250r, a good 350x, and a 200s to go along with my new 4 wheelers. Should be interesting!

Unload the 400EX....get the 450R....you already got a few 2 strokes to keep things exciting. As far as hop ups on the 450R, just a pipe and airfilter/jetting is plenty to wake it up a bit. The 250EX is a great "wife" quad and YOU can actually have fun on it too. My brother bought one for his 11 yr old son. His wife takes it out too and she has no probs. I sometimes ride it too so i can take pictures as we tool along down the trails...(auto clutch so I can ride with one hand)
