I admire a person who will reach down to pull another trike from the grave....
and no one can doubt your passion on a completed project...

on a good to excellent 87..I've seen them for sale pretty much on a reg basis of 1 every 5 to 7 months....

and with an average selling price to be between 1500 to 1800 (conservative)

I cant estimate what a professional mint restore would cost...

If you decide to part it...I wouldn't blame you
If you decide to restore...I admire you

"Crnacnac" recently did a near mint restore on an ATC 70 and it cost him a bit of coin...BUT OHHHHHH....is it cherry....

and so too would be your "X"

You arent lying when you said "Rescue"....It's the closest I've seen to near death in a while

He knew enough to know it was the last year of the ATC 200X, so that is all that mattered as far as he was concerned. Normally I would have walked away with my $75 YTM. But I could not leave that X behind like that. I had to try my best.

Being since I am alomost an the hunt, I tend to stumble across them more often them other people. I do have to part with it. I am loyalt to Yamaha and I can not take on a non Yamaha biuld. I do that so I do not end up with more prjects that I can handle.

I'd buy if it weren't for the shipping. I'd have a blast restoring that thing.

I'm sure someone closer will take it off your hands.

I am glad so many people want to give this trike a good home. I am getting a lot of private messages about it. I am going to lay out one stipulation right now though. Not only does the buyer have to give it a good home, but he or she must also get to work on it some time soon after taking possession of it. This thing has set neglected for far too long.

I think it's a great find. I also think (judging from the pic's) that who ever takes it would be better off finding another motor for it.

I'm the opposite of you being a Honda man but that didn't stop me from restoring a Yamaha 225 that I got for free. You sure you don't want to keep it just to have one H in your collection? That would be a great project and it's a great year to restore.

I agree it would be nice to have. I biult an 86 200X a couple yars ago when I did not care what I rode as long as it had three wheels. But if I let this one slip in, it will not stop there. I must maintane my bearing. It is hard sometimes, but what choice do I have?

by the way, the engine looks bad, but I would still rebiuld it. I would keep it original.

If anyone is planning a trip from Florida to Arizona anytime soon and doesn't mind bringing it to me I'll take it.

I wish I could afford a trip to Arizona. I have always wanted to go riding out there.

That X looks a whole lot better than my first Tri Z biuld. Now it looks like it should be on a show room floor. That is why I do not understand why so many people have said it lloks bad. I see a worthy challenge.
