    I need some help on 3 wheeler history

    For history class we have to pick a subject we are really passionate about (as long as it had an effect on the American economy) and do a 15 minuet presentation about it. I picked 3 wheelers obviously and find myself in a pickle because I need some history and I dont know much about 3 wheelers before 1985. So if anyone knows websites or has info please post it.

    Just one thing for the site. we had a 1987 125m many years ago, cant remember that much about it but....

    Under atc125m 1987 there is nothing listed at the moment. As far as I know there was the new decals and the little plastic panel with the reversing and neutral light changed.
    Instead of having the coloured lens behind a clear panel the coloured parts were flush with the surface on the later ones.
    Not sure about engine numbers etc..... .

    As for the presentation, have a bit of history but stick with the faster models and give top speeds and show jumping pictures. It will keep people who are bothered a bit more interested.

    I also did my project on 3wheelers, used atcheaven and got a 87% percent. Woot!
    My teacher was amazed that kids still drive them, he used to have a big red and I told him I had a tri Z and he was almost having a heart attack right there (jk, but you get the point)

    You know, over the years I've seen several people do three-wheeler related projects for school and college projects. I find it kind of amusing because, before no teacher probably had gotten a paper on three-wheelers. I can kind of see it now, the national teachers of america convention (Hahah or whatever its called) and someone is talking about how one of their students did such a great paper on three-wheelers. Then another teacher says "Hey...I had a student a couple years ago do the same thing" I think its cool you guys are bringing trike related topics into school. The more positive influence the better by all means.

    Did the paper include anything about what it feels like to ride one?

    Historically related: I can imagine what it was like if you were a 3-wheeler factory racer, or tech, when in 1987 Lawyers came and ripped their hearts out. Reading the Peter Kiersten thread, you can really get a feel for how much he suffered in the whole fiasco. I'm curious as to what Marty Hartt (The only other 3-wheeler "name" I can think of) went through. I saw a program on the internet from Ascot Park (1/2 mile dirt track) where they had 3-wheeler races. Does anyone have any video of 3-wheeler races ???? I would love to see a trike flat track race!!

    Don't forget us teachers presenting trike related topics to students! Some of the girls in my classes aren't too amused.... so I had to buy the Barbie trike to pacify them!

    I used stuff from Trikefest last year to do $$/percent tax problems. This year, I did a ratio unit, and used my toy trike collection to show probability. Example... P(gold rims), P(not gold rims) proves P(~event)= 1- P(event).

    Had em tell me P(4 wheeler) then P(3wheeler) to show ...
    that 0 <= P(event)<= 1 .... and

    Since the DustRunners are 82R replicas, I also went into Scale Ratios... had them measure the model size/actual size of some of my spare R parts to determine the scale ratio of the DustRunner. Anyhow... any you want my lesson plans? hahaaha
