    Question

    What's the best way to remove the rust on an axle w/out replacing it? A wire wheel? Thanks for any info

    Don't use a wire wheel, you will chew it up. Use a buffing wheel and some red rouge, it's what I use on mine. If you don't have any, you can get it on ebay for about 20 bucks. Just check your arbor first.

    Wouldent steel wool work just as well as any expensive red rouge.(just a thought lol)

    I took the wheels off of my trike then i put it up on blocks and started it, put it in first gear and took a scotchbrite pad and held it around the axle with some pressure. It will take the protective finish off of it too so you would have to put some clear coat or varnish on it or it will rust up again. It works really well though
