I want to make new ones out of aluminum. That way no painting and it will never rust so I look at it as a slight little detail upgrade over the stock ones. Where can I find the material at? Home depot or something?

Home depot and lowes sell a limited amount of sheet metal. I don't know if I've ever seen aluminum there, it's mostly steel. If you've got a metal shop near you, you can probably buy some scraps. Or they might just give it away. I can get you what you want too.

Go yo the local True Value Hardware store,they should have aluminum stock ther in 4 foot pieces.
