CR 250 intake boot on ATC R?

A local fellow board member/triker (250RNUT) hooked me up with a 85 cr 250 intake boot (thanks again!) since I needed a new intake boot for my 86 250r (cracked). It looks to be a little shorter but all the mounting holes line right up. Anyone else use a cr intake on their 250r? Anything to look out for?

as long as everything lines up and fits.. and seals properly... can't see why it would be a problem.

Does the carb end up at a weird angle ( ie: not level ) ..??? otherwise.. rock on !

I haven't installed it yet, will tonight though. The only differance I see is the rubber boot is not quite as long.

let us know.i got that 92 cr motor going into a 86r and i bought a atc intake cause i didn't think the cr intake would work.it looked to me as though it would aim the carb to far up.let me know how it turns out.the cr intake i have is a boyseen rad valve and would prefer to use that over a stock intake.

The 85 cr 250 boot does NOT work. The rubber is too short so there is a big gap between the carb and intake boot from the air box. It does bolt up so if you were not using the air box it would be fine.

heres what you do for that.

go to lowes,or a hardware store.get a 2 inch plumbing coupler.it will be rubber, and will slide right over the carb and airbox boot.eliminating the gap.i had to do this on my 85r when i put the 38mm a/s on it.let me know if you got any more ?'s
