    My new 250R and questions

I bought a 250R project this morning. Previous owner hadn't worked on it in about ten years and decided to sell. It's an '83 with an '84 swingarm. The entire front and rear suspension is assembled and on the frame as well as the front and rear axles and tires. Came with a box of loose parts, a repairable seat, an extra front wheel and tire, two more rear tires on rims and most of a completely disassembled Honda 500cc 2 stroke engine (I'm thinking my 200x needs an engine...).

It also came with an uninstalled 250R engine that was rebuilt about ten years ago; from what I can see without taking it apart is that it is in very good shape. This engine is fully assembled and ready to go. I see from the specifications page on the main site that this engine came from an '81 model. The number on the block is 2009503. Were there any significant differences in the 250R engines before they went to liquid cooled? This engine should work fine in the '83 frame correct?

I would check the compression before putting the motor in.
