    Tri Z Kick Starter ??????????

    I need a new kicker for my Z. Will any other kickers work??? I would think that any 3 wheeler kicker that kicks forward would work, but I wanna know for sure. Help me out here if ya can.

    85 Tri Z 250
    Boyesen Power Reeds
    +4 Westcoast Swinger
    6 speed tranny
    Drag ported & polished
    Pro Lite Piston
    DG Nationals Pipe
    Too many small mods too list.............

    From what I'm told, the YZ250 engine is identical to the Z, so I assume you could use one of those?

    You still can buy them new for $80 from yamaha, but i think the 250R kicker splines are the same, i have seen a billet 250R kicker on a Z before. I dont think the yz250's will work, don't them kick backwards?

    YZ kicks backwards.
    I have also heard that a 250R works

    find a good used 87-92 honda 250x kicker, same splines, direct bolt up to output shaft
