Anyone ever ride a bombi DS650?

Just wondering if any of you guys have ever rode a DS650? How was it? was it fast? I am going to trade my cbr600f3 1996 for one and was wondering what you guys thought of it.I am a pretty big guy and that is definetaly the biggest machine you can get(size not engine).

yea, they are massive...bloody tanks. what type of riding do you plan to do on this, as they get really cramped on trails and better suited to the dunes and wide open fields.

I plan on doing alot of open field and some gravel pit riding. Of course there will be some trails thrown in here and there.I would give anything to ride some dunes but it's not happenin here in NY.

We have one, the Baja X. Its a nice quad and its got ALOT of balls and suspension but if your doing any kind of trail riding it sucks. Its so wide and tall that its either banging into trees. And its tall, so you always feel top heavy when on off camber hills.

Its great for jumping with the massive amount of suspension it has though. And its good if your staying in open areas. I say it would be a pretty good choice for fields and gravel pits.

Alot of the guys I used to ride with got them when they first came out - and promptly traded them in with in a year or so. Not that they are a bad quad at all, super well made, fast as heck - its just they are horrible woods quads, and thats what we ride in. Its not the engines power band either - its purely from a handling point of view.

When I want the feel of a Bombi 650, I just remove the steering wheel, and put handlebars on my Jeep. As Wicked said, it is a great quad...fast, durable, and a decent handler for the size. But that's just it. The size.

I rode the fingers, and yep it is a freakin tank. I like the jeep comment, that was funny. True, and funny. I liked the fingers cannondale better, only it wont idle! full race motor, that thing. but fast! I think it would smoke a DS650.

No,I have never had dodge duster sittin around here. There is always a bunch of vettes hangin out in the summer.I'm trying to talk my wife into buying a C5 corvette but it's not going to well.I know fred but I dont ride with him at all.You guys should stop by sometime and check the store out.
It sound like nobody is giving the ds650 a good review.I am a big guy and think that the size of the machine would fit me perfect.I rode my friends 400ex and I felt like a elephant screwin a golf ball.Plus the thing was so slow it wasn't even funny, very disappointing.

Dang, sounds like you need a 650. If the 400ex didn't fit you at all you can rule out the new 450's and all the 400's.
