    200x and xr200

    I am wondering is there a way to cross reference all parts that may interchange. I am looking at all electrical, the cranks and everything else odd. Is there some trick, ie part numbers, or perhaps you have tried? First on list to check compatability is crank, rod, bearings and so on. Pretty much right now inside cases. Oh yeah 85 200x and 87 xr200. Thank you Jen


    P>S What I do know. The kicker shaft are different but everything on the kicker itself is the same. Right down to the one gear that sits on the the shaft. As of right now I have not scoped the transmission, I am too scared I will mix up parts.

    I go onto bikebandit.com and compare part numbers; it takes a while but works. Maybe we should start a list of interchangeable parts.

    Do you know how much work this is.

    Example crankshaft assembly different. BUT rod, bearing left and right crankshafts all same.

    Rockers same, camshafts different, Cam chain different but same number links (WTF ).

    OIL pump assembly same.

    flywheel and all that jazz different.
