Cut a slice in the screw with a dremel and get it out with a screwdriver.

You probably just still have air in there. Do a search on "bleeding brakes" - lots of posts on it.

I HIGHLY recommend BACK BLEEDING the brakes. It takes ALL of the work/hassle out of the job and should take 5 minutes. Try a search and if it hasn't been covered, I'll explain

well if its a phillips head screw....take a and beat the end of a screw driver into the screw or.....they make a spring loaded screw driver.....that you hit with a and the end turns.....so you have a couple of options on getting the screw out......i had the same problem on my 350x getting the front brake lever and resivoir off.....i just used the regular screw driver and ed the hell out of it

Try dipping the head of your phillips driver in some valve grinding paste, you will find it gives extra bite on a damaged screw head.
Would not recommend using an impact driver on the reservior lid, could do considerable damage!!

ok i bled them today..worked great..what i did was fill the reservoir to the very top..prolly to far..and thenclosed it tight..undid the bleeder hole on the caliper...pushed the pedal..before i lifted up i put my finger over the hole..so it wouldnt take on air...took about 20 times of that repeateldy and bam..great..now my problem is they wont let go...its not letting go of the rotor..i have to oull really hard trying not to brake it and it loosens up a bit...they go out fine but back is different..any help with this one?

Either your piston's a lil rusty, or the slides on the calipar are frozen up. The first time I tried to change the rear brake pads on my 350X, I had the darndest time... come to find out the glide posts that allow the calipar to 'float' back and forth was frozen up.

Have you ridden it since you put in the new pads? I had that problem on my 200x and used a screw driver to pry them open a little. Then I sprayed wd-40 on the disk and rode it for a while like that. After a little test ride, the pad and disk had worn into place and worked normally. It could be time to clean that caliper though.

Then don't worry yet. Just force the piston back down.
