    What should I get?

Well, it is time for me to get a new ATV. My only problem is what to get. I like 2 strokes because of powerbands and they are easy and cheap to rebuild but I like 4 strokes because of low and torque and they last a while before you have to rebuild them. Im not a big kid so I have come down to either a Yamaha Blaster or a Honda 300ex. What one do you guys reccomend?

Depends on what kind of riding you do? Dunes? trails? With all the trees and not so much for open spaces(except for the road) 300ex hands down

    Blaster, ofcourse, especially a 2003.

Are those your only two choices? :?

For the price of a brand new 300EX or Blaster....You could be ripping around on about any used performance machine. Suzuki LT250R, Yamaha Banshee, Honda ATC250R of any year (except 87 probly), Honda ATC350X, Suzuki LT500R "Quadzilla".

    Trail riding

There is mostly trail riding where im from. I just want a new bike than an old used one because of the discontinued parts. These are my only 2 choices because I dont want a bike with a real lot of power because im comfortably riding around 45mph.

    re.

My buddie just bought a 2003 Kawasaki bayou 250(same as the old 220) it's a great quad, plenty of power, shaft drive, cargo racks, I like the way rides to, very comfy, and he's only paying $70 a month on it, it's only like $3500 brand new also, Im thinking about buying the 300 bayou come spring.

I think youd be happy with either one. The 300EX has a few extra perks like reverse, and electric start which is are nice trail assets. Also if youre looking at used machines, Id say the 300EX for trails just because of the brakes alone, but as far as new, the 2003 Blasters are now using hydraulic brakes instead if the mechanical drum brakes used in all prior years. If price is an issue, the 300EX has a noticeably larger price tag.

speaking of the kawi 220 bayou they r great machiens my cuz has one and its a 93 and we have beat the s*** out of it and it still runs like its brand new! and it goes about 50 so trailprotrailpro good there. and they do have a lot of power and they r shaft drive which is good for my cuz she likes to ramp it. i mean she has the shocks were if u hit a bump they clank and bearly give. but she is going to replace them soon. but in my 2 cents id say go with the blaster or the kawi 220 bayou. the reson y i picked the blaster is because they turn great and there good woods bikes. but then again u might wanna look for a warrior to.

Dude, get the 300ex. :-P Its a great machine, perfect for trails and a little more power than a blaster. It also has better brakes, a reverse, and electric start. Yes, they are more money but its a honda, it will last throughout your grandchildren's childhood. As for the Kawasucky, they just plain suck.

    Yeah, You would think that.

In actuality, The mojave is one of the best mid classers made. Upgradable, fun to ride, fast enough. The first thing to do would be to cut off the elephant ears front fenders though

The Mojave does stink compared to the 300ex of the blaster.

    Blaster

I'm YAMAHA all the way.Buy the blaster if you want a 2 stroke, and the 300ex if you want a 4 stroke. Its alot cheaper to modify a blaster.

If you are willing to put time and money into a machine, get the blaster. It's about 1700 less than the 300ex, that's a lot of money for motor and/or suspension upgrades. If all you want isn't something that is very reliable, don't want to do much work to, just get on and go, get the 300ex. Personally, I'd get a used 400ex off egay. Going for about 3-3500 all day.
