I got my 02' blaster for 2895 OTD with a 6 month warranty, I have blown up the motor twice, (don't ask) and yamaha has replaced the entire internals of the motor both times with no questions, my warranty is up in 2 weeks so it is time to take the oil injection off. The problem with those is its a varible rate injection system, goes from 500:1 at idle to 50:1 at wide open throttle, being an air cooled machine you need at least 32:1 if not 20:1 to keep it cool and lubed- but if you bored of the power with about 8-900.00 you can almost double the horsepower, witch if you are a little guy you will be able to keep up with anything (blasters weigh about 320 lbs) (banshee stock weighs about 380 w/35 horse) blaster has 17 horse
17x2= 34 get the picture getting that kind of power might take a little more money, but not much. I weigh 280lbs and I jump it and beat the piss outta it (mainly bought it for a drunk bike at the dunes) and it really impresses me everytime I ride it. It moves through the sand with the stock tires aired down very good, I've rode a 300ex and they are nice too, I'd have to say that would be the way to go for a hassle free ride, but whats the fun if you never get to take it apart!! I'd go with the blaster, much much cheaper to upgrade, everyone I know wants to make there bike more exciting almost right after they buy it, if your not one of those people then get the 300, Good Luck
