Got my 85 250r home now to fix brakes

I got the R home and wow it runs good (once I get it started). The problem is it has no brake pads left. The rotors have some grooving too. Do I need to replace the rotors? Can they be machined at all? Pad suggestions?
Thanks guys I am lucky to have found this site.

Depends on how bad the rotors are. I've put new pads on grooved rotors before. Just wears the pads out quicker but the brakes still work. If they're really bad though, just replace them.

OEM Honda pads are very, very good for all conditions. I'd stick with them if possible.

Your rotor should have the minimum thickness stamped on it from the factory, 3 mm I think. If it's thinner you can get them on ebay for cheap.

I bought my rotor from rocky mountain atv, 24 bucks, I think they have a closeout on pads also.

I went out and rechecked it and it has some very minior grooving and specs way thinker. I am just going to add pads and keep a eye on my master cylinder I unfroze that for now is working great.
