Pretty much as the title states. Anyone know if a grab bar from an 86 250R 4-wheeler will fit on a 1985 ATC250R?

I bought one that was supposedly off a 1987 TRX for my '86 R. Don't fit. You could make it fit with some spacers but that would probably weaken it a bit.
Cool. I was going to buy a cheap one off ebay. I really want the PRM desert grab bar. I have it on my 450R and I really like, I'm just gonna buy that same one for my 250R. Just thought I might jump on a cheap one if it fit.

I ended up getting the standard PRM. Wish I would have just done that from the start. Sometimes trying to save a buck ends up backfiring on you.
Anybody need a TRX grab bar?![]()
Hmmm... I'd a thought it would fit too. What I do sometimes, is look at the aftermarket places like PRM, Durablue, Progressive Suspension, Dennis Kirk, etc and look up an aftermarket part and see if they are listed together or have the same part number. I know my 350X PRM 6 pk rack also said it would work on a 200X if I recall. When Jez said the 350X hub would fit on a 85-86R I wasn't surprised, cause I looked at a Durablue ad for replacement hubs in a Chaparrel catalog, and they were listed together w/same part number. If it's OEM Honda parts, I look up the Honda part codes and see if they match. Same thing for mix-matching my Yamaha 200E/225DX/200 chain parts.Originally Posted by Dammit!

I bought one and it fits if you have the right mounts for the toolbox --they fill the gap between the frame. If you dont have that metal mount you must use a spacer. I bought the TRX bar until I find a stock grab bar nice enough to powdercoat. The bend is totally different though. I like the look of the ATC bar much better

Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

i am going to get one of those standard prm bars for my 85' 250r...they look cool, and they are only like 35$ and look way cool than a plain ol' dg....im glad to see DG updating their products though, the normal Dg stuff looks so cheesy and plain....now all they need to do is build motors/ good pipes like they used to.
