    hello
    i recently purchased a 1982 honda 250r and i had a few questions about it. First of all i was wondering if a sprocket off a '84 would fit, and the retainer clip.(for the front)...and the other thing is that when i rev it up exhaust comes out between the jug and the crankcase...so it obviously needs a gasket..but my question is will it hurt it anymore if i just drive it the way it is?

    Yes the '84 sprocket will fit. Don't run it like that at all - you are probably allowing fresh air to enter the jug and therefore are leaning out your mixture. Fix it now.
