    Question Choke adjustment for 250SX??

    Hey folks,
I'm looking for instructions/pointers on adjusting the travel of the choke lever on the 250SX.
    Is there such an adjustment?
My lever only goes about 5/8 travel then stops.
I lubed the cable and it's smooth, so no problem there.

    Pics and/or page scans welcome.

Thanks for any and all help.

My cable fits TIGHT and I've never had a problem with it.
It's in fantastic shape and still has the rubber grommet/seal on the end.

I'm not aware of any way to adjust.

Mine has similar travel to yours.

On the SX where the cable meets the plunger in the carb, it sometimes binds or has a broken spring. Also, stock SX has a metal clip that keeps the cable from falling out of the plastic lever, good luck finding one...

Mine also goes about 5/8 of the way, no problem with it tho so it might as well stay that way.

85 sx choke cable setup is different than 86/87. The 85 does not have a clip at the top end, 86/87 does.

If anyone needs one of those clips let me know. I "happened" to buy a lot of several on ebay the other day (they were cheap)
