ok some of you guys dont have fork boots(me too) then again on some trikes i see a type of cover that goes over the seal and over the fork tube a little bit. the whole thing is probly an 1ic or 2 long. it raps around the frok by the seal . its like a seal for over the seal. anyone know what i am talking about.

They're called fork wipers. Haven't seen any in a long time though.

Sure do. They are called Seal Savers. I use them on my motox bike.

They can actually speed fork seal up though if you ride in mud. What happens is mud gets trapped underneath and the seal "savers" keep it there till you turn them up for cleaning. If it's muddy I keep mine folded up.
