    3 wheel drive

I thought of this last night before i went to bed. I was thinking about building a go cart with a 8 horse briggs lawn mower engine that i have laying around, well i got a better idea. Weld a mount for the engine on the front forks, somehow get a sprocket to mount on the front rim. I dont think that it would be that hard, i thought it was a good idea. Has any done this (im sure someone has). I would do this to a big red or some thing, it would be kinda hard to put on my 200x forks.

I don't know about other trikes, but having the front wheel drive on both my trikes would be worthless because there is hardly any weight up there.

Im not sure but you might have problems with control of the power in the front wheel vs the back if one spins faster then the other you might start to snap things , or draging the rear wheels. I dont think its an easy as it sounds fab job,but would be cool.as long as the chain dosnt some off and take your head with it.good luck w/ it hope it works out for you if you try.

I would only use it in the mud so the back tires would be spinning so how fast the back and front are moving wouldnt relly matter and know that i think of it, it wouldnt help much any way cause of no weight in the front. but i more or less want to do it just to say i did it.

It seems like Dirt Wheels did some kind of experimental trike like that, or at least had a pic in "Over the Bars"... I'm guessing 83-ish?? I remember seeing it and thinking it was

There used to be a site called rokonfreaks and it had a 2wd rokon that somebody made into a 3wd trike. It was sick. It looked like it would go through any mud hole you threw it at. I just tried to look it up but the page wouldn't come up.
