    NEW Acquisitions - Fairly Rare

Well three wheelers are much more scarce in the Northeast than other places but I just had two major scores in the past two days Both within 2 hours drive time.

    1987 Tecate 3
    1986 Tri Z

1250 total for both bikes. Will be doing full restores on both. Will be picking them up within the week.

Now i've secured next winters projects. The harsher the winter the more work I'll get done on these bikes.

The tiger pics will be coming soon- wait till you see the before and after shots on this one. Its Insane how this thing is looking.

    Good week for the collection

Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

I'm sure we can count on a first rate resto on both!

Talk about something to look forward to!

You did great on those buys!
I'm green with envy but also glad they went to a good home where they'll get the attention they deserve.

They 'll be coming (tiger pics). A little suspense never hurt anybody. Been working on it the past two days. Plan on working on it all this week.

These new aquisitions definetly need restores. The tri Z is fugly but the price was right. Glad you guys are looking forward to seeing some more of my work.

My lessons I've learned the $$hard way$$ this year.

Wait and you'll find what your looking for sooner or later. The $580 shipping charges have killed me in the past.-- Wish I would have waited to find some more locally.

Ive been buying decent bikes for moderate to high money- MISTAKE If your doing a full restore and going to replace plastics ,powdercoat coat , and address everything from top to bottom it doesnt have to look great or OK when you buy it --just has to be solid. Just make sure all the parts are there. Unless its an immaculate stock beauty like Darius's 250R that doesnt need a restore.

Exception TIGER -- is was very dirty and beat when I Bought it -but basically complete--paid Big and would do it again. Find a tiger Buy it --if you dont someone else will. I'm actually glad this one was the way it was because I get tremendous satisfaction doing restores. (bringing something back to life).

There are much worse places to find ATC's! I'd say the contrary, NY has to be one of the easiest place to find a sport trike! The racing series back in the day in NY/Ohio were pretty great! Heck, if you look at Trikefest or the members of this board, NYS has to be the most represented state of them all!

Orangecounty, you suck I've been looking for years for a tecate. I found 1 but it was shot. So I thought. but if I new then what I know now. Maybe things would've been diffrent.

350in NY...New York and Ohio? Did everyone forget about Pa? I was young teenager back then and do not remember any trike racing in my neck of the woods. I have to agree with you all though. they are very hard to find anymore. Once you do you need to take out a second mortage to buy parts for them. lol

I've also heard that NY and the northeast has a greater trike population than anywhere else. There's also alot on the west coast, cali in particular.

There's trikes all over the place in Pa. Most of them are sittin out in yards rusting away though I meant that tecate in paticular but tri-z's, 250r's,350x's are getting hard to find. Heck... I think I'm the only one around these parts with a 200x!

In my neck of the woods -Southern NY there was a flat track and people had some nice three wheelers. It was Oakland valley racetrack , I still remember these guys busting around the track when I was 14 --now they just race go karts. Once 86 hit all the three wheelers seemed to vanish. People really got into 4 wheelers and dirt bikes in my immediate area. 3 wheelers faded away. You'd see some 4 strokers every blue moon. You dont see that many sport trikes in my area on ebay. I used to ride with a large group of guys who never had 3 wheelers. Now they are liking them alot. But that is what I learned --as I was mentioning above, you have to be patient and look in the right places and you'll find what you're looking for --In NY or anywhere.
Heck go to the ebay forum and view the mint 250R in germany. Picking up the tri Z tommorrow am
