Would this idea work to make a trike?

ok, the engine is apart and not in the bike but i have a 1982 xr500 dirtbike that i am wanting to make something with. Does anyone here think it would be possible to bolt a rear swingarm/axle assembly off of a trike or quad to the xr500 frame? Why or why not? I know i would have to change the front end and put one off a 3 wheeler on there but that doesnt seem like it'd be a problem. I was just thinking about it the other day and thought this would be a unique (sp?) looking toy. It seems to me like it would all work if i could find or modify a swingarm/axle assembly to bolt right into where the xr500 swingarm is. Any comments on this? good idea? stupid idea? has it been attempted that anyone knows of? it's just an idea

yea...just like a cr500 conversion
would be a sweet woods machine. if you the same thing loius mielke did with the swingarm you would be sweet.

its been done before, seen one for sale not too long ago $1500.00 it was all tricked out...center of gravity felt a little high on it though...but there's ways you can correct that

louis mielke is working on one right now. he is making an 89(i think) cr500 into a trike
