The stock plug is an NGK D7EA. This plug should be good for all 4 seasons in NB. If your trike is running rich with this plug installed you might need to make a carb adjustment to cure that problem. The adjustment required depends on whether the rich mixture is occuring when the engine is idling or under acceleration. Or it could be something as simple as a clogged air filter or an improperly set "start circuit" ( Yamaha's version of a choke on these models ). If you follow the choke lever cable down from the dash you will find the place to adjust it. It is very sensitive so make small adjustments at a time if you think that is your problem.
Remember: lower # = hotter plug, higher # = colder plug.
