suzuki guys.... What year is this?

My neighbor wants me to try and sell this for him, Problem is, he doesnt know what year it is, and neither do it, We looked all over for tags, and cant find nothing. Any help is appreciated.

If your interested in it, it needs a wiring harness, it DID run, but some electrical screwed up, he narrowed it down to somepoint in the harness. 400 bucks, you pick it up on highway 58 in Fowler NY. (gouverneur) has a supertrapp exhaust.

Looks to me like an 85' or 86' 230 quadsport? But I could be wrong.

Without the decals its tough to say. Its definitely a 230 Sport, not a 250 - but - '85 through '88. I thought the '85's had orange fenders, but I can't tell from the picture if those are red or orange.

Was 85' the first year for the quadsport? I'm helping a freind restore an 86' and it has the grey motor, orange plastic but he has a stock black seat???

Hey, what is this 250 quadsport that you speak of? I thought it was the 250 quadracer. (yellow and blue?)

The motors were always gray. That is an 86 if the seat is original. The 85's had a black seat with Yellow lettering.

The 86 was more of a burnt orange and had a blue seat.

They (LT250S) were made from 1989 - 1990. I had an '89 that was white and blue. It was basically an up engined 230S with a T-seat and different, bulkier plastic similar to the front fenders of a Mojave, which IMO made it look goofy. As far as the 230 goes - I know they also made it in yellow and blue.

Jared.... can you get the VIN number off the frame or the engine? That's the only way to stop the guessing game.
