They only made them in 86, is that correct?
Reason I ask is there is a blue 83 with reverse (in NY) on ebay so either the motor has been switched or the year is wrong or I'm wrong and there were 2 models (reverse and whitout) of the same year but I'm almost positive that is not the case.

I know the Yamahaulers didn't have reverse until 1985. Seems like some 85 225's were DXN and others were DRN's. In 86, they were DRS according to my Yamaha Factory Service Manual.

Oh, I thought 86 was the 1st year.
I didn't find it in my normal yamaha ebay link either I guess due to the fact the caption is worded different?
I emailed the guy and asked but I always like to be double sure. No, I'm not buying it either (really would like a blue in the family though!!) but it seems to be a good deal if the peice stays low.

Go to the Yamaha website. The R in DRN stands for reverse i think.85,86 were the only years.

Those are '85 tank decals, according to pictures I've seen on bikepics.com, so I'm guessing he got the year wrong in the ad.

Late production 84 through 86 had reversere. Even though some were produced in 84 they were still considered an 85 model. If you look at the month the trike was produced you will see what I am talking about.
