So, have we found a axle straightening service?

I now have three extra 200es axles, I know two maybe all three are bent and I'd like to get them fixed and certified to within spec so I could use them or auction them..but no such service in this area..there's got to be a good axle guy out there we could patronize..like Harlan with the decals...Any ideas??

You mean there's not a single bike shop or machine shop in your area?? They'll be able to do it for ya!
In fact, anyone that's competant, has a hydraulic press, v-blocks and a dial indicator should be able to fix them for you....

Any machine shop can do it. Many auto parts stores have a local machine shop they send work to.

I've had 200x axles straightened before with decent results. I use to be the shop monkey for a little trike shop in the 80's so it didn't cost me anything. It's not hard to do either (I eventually did one myself). You just have to have the right setup. A micrometer, a hydraulic jack and this contraption to hold the axle in is all it is.

I just straightened my friends son's axle for his 250R. He rolled it off a house pad and bent it pretty good. I straightened mine also . I use my press and my V-Blocks and my dial indicator. ......Quite simple...press until straight. I straightened mine about 4 years ago and no problems since. I just straightened my friends on Thursday.......It is easy with the right tools.
I would rather have a sister in a whorehouse, than a brother with a quad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still walking the "Tightrope"
