    250es Clunking?

    Gday.

Been a while since I posted something on me old red. It has no wheels at the moment so I started her up today and went throught the gears (while on chocks) just to get the juices flowing again in the gearbox and differential. I noticed that when I was shifting, it seemed to clunk through all the gears. Like the clutch isnt lifting or something. This has only just recently started to occur aswell. Oh and if it is any help, my sprag clutch is on the way out. Is this a common problem with the 250es motors? The clunking, not the sprag clutch going)

    Thanks Alot

    Matt

Hi Matt.. My Reds do the same thing with the wheels off the ground. I think it is because there is no strain on the clutch. I think when you go to ride it you will find it to be OK.

Thanks Broook. Hopefully thats all it is. I guess you are right though, seen as it never did this prior to me pulling the wheels off it.
