i cant understand what you are saying. did you actually do it and lost power and want to know why? or are you thinking about doing it and want to know if you will lose power?

might be french, i think he said he did this and he did lose alot of power, and wants to know why. i think you probably lost power because its a bigger tire, it has to turn more.
1983 Honda ATC 200x-shes a beater
Past Rides:
1982 ATC Big Red 200e (miss it more than i thought i would)
1985 200x rode it for about a mile
I'm not sure if he did it, or might do it, but although 9" rims & tires are a bit heavier, as long as they are both 22" tires there shouldn't be much difference in power to the ground.
Translation: "Hello, I changed my tires (22-11-8 trail claws) for 22-12-9 bear claws and I changed my 8" rim for a 9" one.
Did I lose much power doing this ???"
The answer is as freewheel3 said, your tires are now heavier, but you didn't lose any power.

you wont loose any power-so to speak, but you might notice it has a little less pull down low becuse of the bigger tires, more rotating mass, takes more to turn itOriginally Posted by Maine_Triker

uh no, they are taller rims. the last number is the rim size. the middle number is the tire width.
