    What does the $60 cover?

It is like having liability on a car. Not full coverage. It cover $50,000 for anyone that gets hurt and some other things but i would have the read my policy. It is legal, that is all i care about so i don't get any tickets. They wanted i think an extra $30 for full coverage. I should upgrade my insurance just incase it ever gets stolen or something. Do you have a insurance company named Haylor-Freyer-coon around your area? That is who i am insured through.

I don't see why I should ever have to pay the government in order to ride my ATC on any plot of private land... so I won't, ever. Why do I need permission from Albany to ride? I know enough people and have enough land for the amount of riding I do. Same for "mandatory" ATV insurance... just state imposed fees made payable to private business. I don't personally know anyone who has registered their machines.

As for public lands... I would pay a per use tax or some other fee so long as it was a small amount and the money was used for something related to ATVs and trail systems. That would be mildly reasonable. Too bad "reasonable" doesn't fly in NY.

ChrisR, Paragon is a joke. Those guys are a bunch of a-holes. You can ride up there again (you know where I'm talkin about) but not within the paragon borders. Huffa, Tower's ok but I too get tired of it. Tons of riding in the area around Hazleton.

When some people get their bikes runnin come on up for the day!

I do have to give paragon some credit for boosting the local economy and cleaning up that stream that runs out of a mine. But yea it sucks now if you want to ride that land you got to pay, but there lots of other places to go up here.

    Check the Local Riding Thread

Check the Local Riding Thread about a NY ride they were talking about going to a Park but I posted for a trail ride. You could easily put on 100 miles in a day along the North Shore trail and North towards The Adirondaks. Ride the Railbed or hop off and hit a few of the small sand dunes along the way. If you decide to go North the Trails go through the Big Woods and is very beautifull in the Fall. There is gas and a resturant along the way. Makes for a good weekend trip. Check it out. If you want to, PM me and I will give directions to the Trail Head Parking area in Central Square NY. Its about a mile and a half from Rt. 81 so its real easy to find.

Man I'm happy I live in PA. I go to poker runs all the time and I never need to have registration or insurance. As far as I know in Pa if your vehicle was made before 1987 you are exemt from the manditory regestration. but insurance is optional. Somebody correct me if Im wrong.
