carb trouble 85 250r
Alright, I rebuilt the 85 250r I bought. It had a Bill's exhaust and was ported before I bought it, and it was jetted with a 145 main, middle needle clip. I put a rad valve with carbon fiber reeds, K&N filter, and eliminated the airbox lid. I changed the main jet to 148. We're both at about sea level.
It ran great for a day, I went to fire it up today and it wouldn't light, just flood. The spark plug fouled, so I put in another. The thing is, when it floods, It pours gas out the overflow hose until you turn off the gas at the petcock. I removed the main jet and found my friend tightened it too much and it cracked at the threads. I replaced it and it still pisses out the overflow hose until you turn off the gas. Dang!
So, Any ideas? What the heck could cause this? It does have a full desert tank. Could that cause too much pressure on the carb and make it overflow like that?
