Front tire goes flat when bars are turned

Does this happen to anyone else? When ever I store my trike and leave it with the bars cranked all the way over I come out the next morning and the front tire is as flat as a pan cake. I fill it up and turn it straight and it never goes flat. Its a good tire but I was wondering do ATC front tires lose the bead and go flat when resting for long periods of time with the bars turned?

    Thx, Chris

Sounds to me like you need to break you tire back down and use a good bead sealant. Also make sure there is no sand, dirt or anything else on the rim or tire that would cause it to seep air past the seal.

What is a brand of bead sealant? I've never heard of such a product, it would be great for those tires where there is a very small air leak due to a chip in the bead from putting the tire on with a tire iron.

I've used plain grease before, and it works pretty good.

Yeah, your bead seems to be leaking... I suggest using some RTV silicone sealant, or just bearing grease...
