    350x blowing bulbs like crazy? help!

    my 350x keeps blowing bulbs with in a few min of me putting them in. i know the stock ones are 35/36.5s all i could find were 30/30s

    i revv it up a little after i put them in and they got super bright and pop pop then one more pop for the tail light. but the funny thing is the light on the end of my whip flag is fine and its tied in to the tail light.

    any ideas?

    your voltage regulator isn't working or its not hooked up. check it out, its behind the airbox on the mount bracket. its a finned box with 2 wires. check where the wires go into it, mine had a broken wire and the same thing happened.

    wow i hope thats it i just had the air box off last week to tighten up the spring and was jiggleing around that fined box. you say its on the back towards the tail light or is it the one towards the front right side of the air box.

    one of those wires is ground, if they happen to bothe be hooked up make sure one of them is grounded good, one will be signal and one will be ground. im not sure the colors

    anyone know how much a new voltage regulator costs for a 350x or if any other kind will work ?

    get one on ebay or go to junk yard and find a 350x...check the bulbs in the headlights...if o.k. then snatch the regulator from it.

    start with the ground. check to make sure you have good metal to metal contact. then pm howdy....greg

    My buddy did some cross referencing for the 350x regulator.
    These two machines came up the same:
    83-87 xl600r
    86-87 tlr200
    85/86 ATC 567x
