    XR shifter fit on an SX ?

    Can anyone confirm if an XR 200 gear shift lever will bolt up to the splines on an SX ?

    Might go for a day ride tomorrow if i can get myself out of a construction project.. and don't want to ruin a day because of a loose shifter... ( it works right now.. but i have it tightened as much as possible without stripping it and it stil jumps a tooth.. )

    My XR won't be up and running any time soon.. so i might borrow it for the ride.

    It's got the spring loaded tip for when you dump it.. kinda cool.

    would be a short shift.. but work as long as it fits.

    anyone know ?
    Currently :

    82 ATC - 200, plain jane, almost mint. ( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    84 ATC - 200 ES, Jimmy-Rigged, don't ask.( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    85 ATC - 250 SX, Pride and Joy, Bottom-Less Money Pit.
    84 125 M - The Mini-SX not running yet. but won't be long.

    not sure about the xr but a 200s shifter will fit the 250sx. just try t. as long as it fitts on itll work. you may have to bend it a little for clearence of the block.
