    Bore Size and Gears

I recently accuired a 1985 200x with a 1983 185s motor. (Thanks goes out to those who helped me figure that out )

Where and what kind of gears could make it run a little faster? I looked on DennisKirk and found a few that would fit the 185 but most were 12 or 11 toothed.

Would I need to switch the rear 200x gear also?

The motor smokes a little, so I thought that was a good enough excuse to bore it out and have a bigger piston installed. Assuming that the 185s has not been bored, what size would be good to start with?

one over. Don't go too crazy with it until you figure out what the max size is, or it could grenade on you.

This active thread should be very useful to you. http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/s...ad.php?t=36245

As far as gearing goes. I have made a couple 185x's before. I used the stock 200x sprockets and found the 185x actually goes slightly faster than a stock 200x ( 83-85 ).
