i am between a rock and a hard place....
i have a choice to buy a 185s.. completely rebuilt with new plastics & tires, high lift cam & dome piston , but doesnt get spark for 150$
or..
i can buy a KLT200 with new tires & plastics from a different buddy of mine that gets spark, gas, compression, but doesnt run for 150
whats the better bike ??
any help is greatly appreciated

which one is easier to get parts for/ even to swap to test bits out like CDI etc??
Im still waiting for my ATC185 to turn up... (paid $150au/$75us!)
Shiat I would buy the ATC if you didnt, but IM in Australia, freight would terminate me.

i've rebuilt 2 atc 185's, so i know my way around them
i never had a klt
i was thinking about getting it
but finding the parts would be the trouble
im thinkin of getting the atc
i have extra cdi's for it

Your other option is the KLT for something different. There are a few around, but looking on Ebay, theres not much for the KLT.
Having never seen a KLT(Not in Aussie), I would think about it for a change. Might suprise you!

I owned a 83 KLT 200. It was like old faithful, it always started and ran good. Owned it almost 2 years and never done anything but normal maintenence. Even though it ran so good I was happy when it sold. The damn thing is the roughest ride in the worl made my back hurt.

it turns over... and it in pretty good shape.. but no spark
