porting and polishing on a 86r?

will u feel a significant amount in power by having the cylinder ported and polished? how much will something like that cost?

You are looking at $300 and about 6-8 hp.

depends on what you want done. mx porting might put you around 50hp. full drag can get a 250 past 60hp. who does it depends on the cost.

If you want more power do a 310 kit on it. My 310 kit added 23 hp to my R. A stock 86 R is 38 hp, so with the 310 kit you will be around 60 hp. I called esr and they told me that porting my stock cylinder would add 6-8 hp. I also added a 39 pwk carb, rad valve, k&n filter, dial-a-jet, and pipe to mine.
