86 200s question

[honda 200]

i wanted to know if oil is supposed to leak out of the front part of the valve cover. it probably shouldn't. i talked to a buddy of mine and he said the 200 he had and all the 200's he had leaked from the same place


1983 honda 200E
1985 honda 200M
1986 honda 200S

Oil should not be leaking from any part of the engine.

EDIT: My 200E has a similar problem. Don't really know what causes this...

A lot of times the oil leaking from the top part of the head is caused by bad sealant inbetween the top cap and head. I know it isn't pretty, but It shouldn't be much of a problem if it's only leaking a little ( make sure you have the proper amount of oil in the motor ). Fix it as soon as you get a chance.
