    need help with a jeep

My dad and i justpicked up this CJ2A for parts and maybe to restore later on. Anyways the motor is missing abunch of parts. Its the original L head motor and the oil fill tube if i pull on it it comes out of the block. I dont know if this is supposed to happen and my dads gone so i cant ask him. Does anyone know if its suposed to come out like that i dont think it should.

I believe that it is supposed to screw in, and the threads are probably stripped. Either that or it should clamp in there. It should not just pull out.

Don't know for sure about the old jeep motors but on the old Chevy motors(60's style) the fill tube pulls right out if you pull on it!
It ain't about the money, or even being #1, you gotta know when it's all over you did the best you could of done! And knowing that it's in you and you never let it out, is worse then blowin' any engine or any wreck you'll ever have!
