    200x semi-restore ideas...

My x is in pieces, needs a lot of work (mostly engine) But I am going to strip it right down and paint everything.
    Here are my color ideas.
Red fenders (using old ones... this is going to be a rider .. not perfect..)
    white frame
black tank (probably flat black if possible)
    black swinger maybe... want ideas

Thats all I really know for now.. if anyone has any ideas let me know.
This is a semi restore because it is going to be a rider... so not perfect.

The engine needs alot of work :S .. is kinda frustrates me thinking about it..
going to need new crank (threads stripped out on right side)
new rod (wrist pin hole worn)
    new bearings
    head stuff... all timing stuff....

its kinda a mess and is not going to be cheap.. this "restore: is going to take awhile.

I just restored mine in a week. I will put pics up in a little bit. Sandblasted everyhting primed and painted every bolt even, although I did not rebuild motor but I did polish the side covers and repaint it also.(200x restored for haspin) was a post a couple of days ago it has pics of my progress and now it is all done,And I would never try something like that again in one week, it put the pain on!

I've been restoring a 200x for the past 11 months. I also had just about everything replaced in the motor. If your not sure exactly what your doing I would suggest having it done by a mechanic. I thought I was capable of doing all the work myself but boy was I wrong.
I like your idea of the red black and white color scheme but I'm not to sure about a white frame. I would go with perhaps a white tank and a black frame. I think the white will show to much dirt and won't hold up too long. But that's just my .o2 cents. Be sure to keep us updated on your progress and good luck. shortly I will finally get to ride this baby and enjoy all my hard work pain and suffering. lol I'm sure it will be worth it.

Give me a couple more weeks I will post picts of it. I have the red and black with white color scheme. I have a planned trip next weekend, I just got the last engine kinks worked out, this took me 4 mths, from real start to real finish. I got the frame painted last fall.

Engine in that bad shape I would be almost looking for a different engine. To steal parts.
