It was random, sort of. This little prick has been terrorizing his neighbors and the community that he lives in. He has stolen numerous ATVs and motorcycles from people that have been too scared to turn him in. His father had been in prison for murder and was operating a Methamphetamine lab! We are not sure but we believe a girl that had visited my brother and his friend may have passed info to these dirtbags on the layout of our house as they have never been there before. These guys had a bad reputation that we were aware of, however we had no idea that we would be targets and let alone for freakin COCAINE or EXCTASY! God I abhor people that use those substances! My brother smoked grass and drank a few beers from time to time, but for them to think he was involved in HARD DRUGS, are ludicrous!

I am truely sorry if any family has to go though an ordeal like this.
I don't want you to take this the wrong way and I am making no accusations, just food for thought.
Things like this do happen everyday in america like stated earlier BUT.... usually there is a reason behind it.
A kid (19), I work with had a situation where 3 guys broke into his dads house while they slept and stabbed him numerous times and then left. I told the kid people usually dont just break in and stab someone and leave. I believed the "dad" wronged someone or stole drugs from them or something to bring this retribution on himself. Which we found out later he was fronted an ounce of Cocaine and never paid the guy back.
Being he was your brother and someone you loved very much sometimes we overlook things. Just from the facts in your story it immediately made me think he crossed the wrong people and pissed someone off. Assuming you and your wife live right and are not into drugs or hang with the "wrong" people there was probably a reason these scumbags broke in. They did come to YOUR house looking for "the COCAINE & EXCTASY. Something made them believe it was there.
I am maried and have 5 kids, if this happened to me I would be asking myself why they were there and why they only attacked your brother and not everyone.
I love my brother greatly but I value my family more. I would be asking myself some hard questions.
Don't get me wrong, They were scum and all deserve to die for what happened. You just have to be careful of the life you lead and the "friends" you hang with because sometimes you put others at risk.
Ps. I assume you "smoke a little weed" too. whats the 420 in your screen name stand for?

Yeah well seeings that I have been a member for a while and the 420 thing has been with me for atleast 7-8 years, yeah I used to smoke weed. The people that have been caught didn't know my brother, they had bad information (the cops word not mine). I live in a rural, fairly affluent part of town, and these white trash losers have so many charges against them for robbery and burglary that they would be in jail for over 20 years based on that alone. There is no simple explanation to this, it is and always will be a big tragedy. Sometimes people do bad things for no reason, and I was assaulted during this ordeal. I and my wife were tied up with duct tape and I was stabbed in the back of the leg and kicked in the face, but that pales in comparison with what my brother had happen to him. He was the best brother in the world and he was my best friend. No drug dealer ripoffs here. No underlying reason! The Cops are in disbelief as well! They have said many times that there appears to be no reason for this to have happened! Oh well what can I do but sit back and wait for the slow wheels of justice to turn. They will be getting the death penalty, I am sure of that! Thank goodness this is the south where juries routinely give the death penalty to those that deserve it!

I don't agree with the gun thing personally.... how would you feel if an accident was to happen and you pulled a gun on your own family or kid... you shoot at a burglar and the bullet goes thru a wall... god only knows where it ends up !....
Guns are not a perfect answer to a problem.
Home alarms, heavy doors and locks.. barred windows.. non-lethal weapons.. take your pick.. but guns i never liked.
Sorry to hear about what happened. Life takes strange turns sometimes.......
If ALL drugs were cheap and sold at corner stores..... we'd have to deal with addiction and abuse problems.. but alot of these things would have a different aspect, there is no perfect solution.. but there are alternatives to the drug problems in this world.
