    Mississippi or Louisiana ride coming up

    We're either gonna ride Claiborne & the Dunes down near Alexandria or ride the Levee above Vicksburg and get in the woods plus maybe the sand if the river is low enough.

    From the guys I've talked to I think we'll end up going to claiborne and the dunes. They're only a few miles apart. If we camp at claiborne then we can ride all night too.

    can you get away with running no spark arrestor at claiborne?
    i got a dg krome power, i dont know if it has one but i dont think so.

    I've never seen a ranger out there myself. I wouldn't worry about it. Just take it easy on the throttle until you're out of the camping area and you shouldn't have any hassles.

    Last time I was there, the rangers were out in force....only thing is, these are Louisiana rangers and don't know JACK about JACK. Just tell them you have a spark arrestor and they won't know where to look. I've never had them question anything about any of the machines I've ridden out there...usually they just make sure you don't act like an ass in the parking area. The dunes kind of suck. They would be good during the day only because of the creek (to cool off in)...but most of the area is closed now because of drunk idiots. Still, it's too damn hot to ride claiborne or anywhere else in the middle of the day but at the dunes, you can water wheelie up and down the creek to stay cool. I'm in for this trip...sounds like a winner

    sounds like alot of places ive been to.
    i want to go though, i dont care how hot it is. i never been to either place.
