check out my custom 350x pipe!

Bet ya never seen one of these on a atc before. http://www.trx450r.org/forum/index.p...pic=9752&st=15
Let me know what you think about it, some love the look, others hate it, but it lays every other 4 stroke pipe to waste. I know the owner of the company, so i got hooked up. I thought it would be different and cool. Works great, mated it to a cobra headpipe. Only needed 2 cuts on the mid pipe to fit it. I have the stealth core in, so it's only 96 db. The motor is fresh this week, 12:1, ported head by someone i consider one of the best there is, megacycle midrange cam, and a 400ex carb. Still dont have it dialed in yet, the motor only had 15 minutes on it when it went to the dunes. It had a midrange bog, and i didnt dare pop the carb top to move the needle in fear of the o ring gasket having swelled, like they always do, and stranding me. So i got my 85" r off the trailer for the next day. Just Thought you guys might like to see something different for a change.

    That's cool. Gets a 10 from me.

Looks space age for sure and only 96 db's. For once a cool pipe that isn't obnoxiously loud.

Will he sell to us? Can that be adapted to a 250 SX? How much?

Whats it made out of, aluminum & carbon fiber or what?

Oh yea, what's the name of it?

    Thumbs up That is awesome....

But inquiring minds want to know.....how much is that beauty?
That is one sharp 350X you have there!
Cool to see it on a 450R site.
    Sweeeeet.

450R muffler swap for those of us on a budget:
    http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/s...ad.php?t=25052

You can pick up the stock OEM Honda stainless steel 450R mufflers (use the HRC tip-or make your own) for literally nothing since that's the first thing the 450R folks ditch in favor of a big $$$, stupid-loud exhaust.

I have a brand new CRF 450 muffler. The hot set up for 02 was to cut those cannons down a bit and that's what I did to mine. I have a new one for a spare.

Hmmmm, I'll have to check this idea out for my SX. Thanks.

    Pulsecharger.net has info.

I had the bike idea for a while, my buddy, the inventor of the pipe, talked me into doing it. He ported my head, quite a bit, and hooked me up with a can for a reduced cost. The pipe retails for $675 from VCP, or like around $55o from trx 450r.org sponsors. If someone wanted to do this, i'd call matt or vince at vcp and ask them if a can and cone are available seperatly. I think they might have some spares for parts, but i don't know what they cost retail. As for performance, once it's dialed, it should kill any other similar combo simply cause the pipe doesent work like a conventional pipe does. This one actually pulls vaccume. The only thing i could do to improve it would be a one off stepped headpipe. It Will pull top end of any pipe made, without losing any low end tq. Kinda like having a continiously variable supertrapp. It's amazing to see this on the dyno, As all the current pipe mfg's have low and top end pipes, and this one smoked every one my buddy ever dynoed. Kinda sucks he just moved monday for washington, he was gonna dyno my atc and jet it for free, but i didnt have it done in time. What impresses me the most is it will pull the same top and low with the stealth core inserted, only loosing about 1-1.5 hp in the middle, actually gaining some tq and a half hp up top and on the bottom. Every other pipe made looses stupid hp and tq when going to the quiet core version. If i had a 450r, i wouldn't even think about any other pipe.i've seen about 20 dyno sheets on diff bikes, the yammi and honda 450's, a raptor, (a 50 hp raptor) 400ex's and the zuki 400's, and the gains are pretty impressive on them all. Of course he builds them to hell after the he get's a stock baseline on them, but they all rip. It's funny watching his 400ex beat banshee's at the dunes. lol. If i didn't have this, i'd probably have a supertrapp or a the DG excellerator, i have the dg on my stock motored 86', was there when i got it, and they don't have any drawbacks i can find, besides not looking right on the bike, kinda like a lunchbox. Glad * guys like it!
