Thumbs up R is almost done.....pics

I took these pics last night. I am putting on the shock boots and screwing with the damn front brake! I have been riding without a front brake ever since I restored it 2 months ago... The thing is siezed so I either have to change the brake fluid or possibly it will correct itself....which would be nice.
The first pic is when I first picked up the R from behind my grandfather's shed, where it had been sitting for 10 years. It actually started after 10 kicks! Wish me luck with the brakes!!!

I wouldn't buy any crapy no name brand stuff, but I can go out and blow $270 on a fender when I could get it for $110 you know? the big factor with the ca$h is that I'm only 15, so the stuff isn't coming out of my ears!!!!!

I hear ya, I'm kinda in the same boat, that's why I restored my OEM 350x plastics.

They didn't really need it but I wanted it to look that much better.

Nice job on that R dude. Ya done good rescuing it. Don't count on that front brake coming back to life. They sieze due to rust and corrosion in the bores behind the piston seals. Good news is that you can still buy all the parts to rebuild the calipers. Even better news is that it's the front brake and not the rear. Front calipers are much easier and cheaper to buy than the rears. And as far as the $$ thing, seems like a lot of us trikers are po. Prolly cause most bikes and trikes are money pits and they suck us dry. But what the hell, ya can't take it with ya and what better to spend it on! Keep up the good work.
