Figured I would post this thread to recognize some of the people that made my weekend enjoyable.
But first, I have never had anyone say they didn't have a good time at TF or say they weren't coming back. Even the guys that came and never got to ride their trikes had a great time!
As close as I can figure we hit our 180 person attendance goal. Which means TF has successfully doubled in size every year since it started. I would personally like to see this double again. So if everyone that came this year, just brings a friend next year, we should be able to get that 360 goal! Even the people without trikes don't want to miss it, once you come your hooked!
With that said, I want to give a shout out to a couple people.
First to the crew that came down with me and camped with me. My nephew Brandon is like my right hand man, it wouldn't have been TF without him.
The rest of the gang are all like family to me, very enjoyable to be around. (Except maybe the bottle rocket war at 2:00 am)
ScottZJ, your one truely cool guy. First one to welcome us on Wednesday night and I had the most fun hanging out with you. I felt like I'd known you for 10 years. Still want a piece of your butt on the MX course though.![]()
Howdy, you do so much for the site and the event, I don't think people even realize. I've never seen someone have so much fun and be so stressed out at the same time. I think next year you need to let us worry about things and get drunk with Hagen!![]()
Billy, you are like the backbone of the whole deal. Always prepared and on top of the game. Speak softly and carry a big 500.Really glad to meet you this year. Truely a class act. Thanks for all the hard work.
TimSr., you and I have been riding together since last TF, and I consider you a good friend. I think you did an excellent job coordinating things this year and have a nac for "winging it" Plus a great bull horn voice! You especially deserve a thanks for getting the drags under way and keeping everyone safe in the MX races.
Bruce and the rest of the New Yorkers. Nice to put faces with the names. I'm definately looking forward to coming up your way and riding sometime. Holic, lets do some ice racing!
John Swinehart, thanks so much for the food, Saturday night I was starved but had so much to do with everything else, I didn't get time to eat and socialize, but the left overs were GREAT! That fried Turkey is the BOMB!
Rhuel, you are a big ol MF'er. "I'm not going to race just ride in the back of the pack" Yea right!![]()
Awesome job with all the pictures. I sure am glad you made it, I was really looking forward to meeting you. HARDCORE is what you are. Not coming with anyone and packing the van, Hell Yeah!
Honestly, I really tryed to get out and meet everyone this year, to the point that my camp was calling me " The Governer" becuase I was out politicing all weekend. I really enjoyed everyone's company. Next year I look forward to meeting everyone all over again and your new friends you'll be bringing!
Thanks to everyone else too, 03Orangeshee & Kintore for the good conversation. Everyone that helped out with the events. All the crew that worked to dry the track.
Speedbump, I didn't forget about you either. You made the ultimate sacrifice and bowed out, missing all the fun. I rode with you in my thoughts, as I was putting a spanking on your brother!
